One to One Coaching with Young People and Families
Coaching is a solution focused, strength based approach that helps a person overcome their challenges, reach their true potential and achieve their goals. Our coaches will work in partnership with you, in a confidential and supportive manner. They will assist you to set and achieve realistic goals by breaking these down into small, manageable steps.
Our Specialist ADHD/ASC Coaches have a huge depth of professional experience supporting families and young people living with ADHD/ASC and associated conditions both at home and in schools.
‘Why Try?’ Life skills Session
Outside-iN has two qualified trainers for the “Why Try” programme, which is an evidence based social and emotional learning resource designed to help young people, especially those with ADHD and ASC. Using music, metaphors and group work this highly flexible programme help young people develop the resilience and self confidence they need to cope with the pains and pitfalls of growing up.
Exclusion Support
Having a child excluded from school can be a worrying time, especially if the exclusion is a permanent one. We can help to ensure that the school has acted fairly and in accordance with the guidelines from the Dept of Education, and signpost you to further legal support if you need it.
EHCP Support for Young People
Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) replaced the old ‘statements’ in 2014 and are a more comprehensive support system for a child with special educational needs.
The application process can be undertaken by a school, or by parent/carers and Outside-iN can offer help, impartial advice and support to anyone considering an application. We have a highly trained Independent Support Officer who has helped dozens of parents prepare applications on behalf of their children.
